Porous Ceramics

Porous ceramics are available with various levels of air permeability and porosity to meet different application requirements. Antistatic versions, such as porous silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics, are also available. They are ideal for thickness leveling and grinding of ultra-thin workpieces. When positive air pressure is applied, the porous ceramic functions as an air-bearing stage, enabling non-contact handling.
